As the VP of Marketplace Engineering at Talent.com, you’ll have the unique opportunity to spearhead the complete rebuild of our marketplace intelligence engine, which will power both the job seeker and employer experiences. We’re seeking a hands-on leader deeply immersed in the intricacies of machine learning, with extensive experience in search ranking relevance, match, and recommendation engines. This role will have a direct and immediate impact on revenue for the company, so we are looking for someone who is as business minded as they are technical. You will report to the Chief Technology Officer and be a member of the technology leadership team.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the build of a brand new marketplace search/recommendation engine 
• Employ a variety of ML models/pipelines to enhance platform performance and user experience
• Develop and implement best practices in large-scale Machine Learning systems to enhance performance, user experience, reliability, and monetization of the platform 
• Mentor and guide cross-functional teams of software engineers, machine learning engineers, data scientists, and system engineers distributed across various time zones
• Collaborate closely with the CTO and senior leadership team to align technology initiatives with business goals and objectives
