Role Responsibilities:

Responsibilities. ​

  • ​The Director of Analytics provides leadership and direction for the development and implementation of analytical reporting tools, data analysts, and analytic services for the entire company.
  • This position is responsible for the collection, aggregation, analysis, and presentation of decision support tools for Community Leadership.
  • Collaborates with all departments, including Finance, IT, Operations, and Network Management, from a strategic perspective to identify and maximize opportunities to utilize data to improve business processes, promote the strategic use of information, and enable the workforce to use data analysis and interpretation as a competitive tool.
  • Establishes and coordinates the execution of the vision for Guardian Direct related to BI and Analytics.
  • Responsible for the overall BI&A lean/agile methodology.
  • Responsible for BI&A budget.
  • Direct responsibility for one direct report, building up to 5-7 over time.
  • This role will report to the COO.

Job requirements:

Qualifications.​

  • ​​Bachelors degree required in technical, mathematics, research, analytical field.
  • +5 years of experience in business performance reporting, data analysis and proactive insights.
  • Experience with directly leading and managing teams
  • Ability to describe business use cases and outcomes in the context of data, analytics and business intelligence
  • Must be comfortable working in a fast pace environment
  • Must be highly collaborative

Other skills.

  • Advanced technical skills in computer programming, database concepts, statistics and ad hoc query tools (i.e. SQL, SAS, MS Access, Excel, etc.) as well as design expertise in visual analytics.
  • Must be able to meet deadlines, juggle multiple projects and work independently.
  • Translating analysis into insights and recommendations
  • Ability to teach and mentor other employees, providing an opportunity for development and growth
  • Excellent planning, and organizational skills
  • Strong analytical skills and business problem-solving skills.
