Role Responsibilities:

As Masterworks’ Chief Marketing Officer in NYC, you’ll report to the CEO and oversee all marketing operations and strategy. You will lead a team of 25+ across paid media/acquisition, creative, analytics, and traditional media. The ideal candidate has deep experience marketing high-consideration products to an affluent consumer base, rigorously testing and learning to understand how best to educate and acquire an engaged customer base. You will focus on both acquisition and activating the investor.



  • Conceptualizing and building-out new funnels to support new and different types of traffic
  • Developing new data models to better understand and manage marketing performance
  • Build out a traditional marketing team, focused on direct mail and linear television

Leadership and Management:

  • Lead and mentor a 25+ person team of marketing professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture, within the following teams: Platform Buying (Facebook, YouTube, etc.), Media Buying (Newsletters, Affiliate, YouTube, Podcasts, etc.), Analytics, Creative
  • Set clear goals and define KPIs, providing support to enable team members to achieve their objectives
  • Build strong cross-functional relationships with other departments such as Product and Sales to ensure seamless execution of marketing initiatives


  • Setting monthly marketing spend and efficiency targets, rolling-up into corporate budget
  • Creating quarterly OKRs for marketing and different teams within
  • Reporting to board on marketing performance

Job requirements:

  • 10+ years of marketing management experience in a high–growth environment, ideally focused on high-consideration products
  • Experience managing marketing functions with $50mm+ per year in spend
  • Performance marketing expert with a direct response mentality
  • Experience managing marketing analytics functions, and hands-on experience with tools like Google Analytics, Mixpanel, etc.
  • Strong people management skills (hiring, coaching, firing)
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to leverage data and insights to drive decisions

    • Must be able to work from our NY office
