Meet Sendinblue:

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated CEO/GM of North America to oversee all strategy, revenue, staff, budgets and operations of the North American region. The CEO/General Manager’s responsibilities include formulating overall strategy especially the Go To Market Strategy and managing a multi-million dollar budget in alignment with our global business objectives, representing the brand, especially on the US market within the marketing tech communities and SMBs communities, managing people and establishing policies.

Our ideal candidate has proven to successfully identify and execute innovative marketing strategies to increase brand awareness and positioning in the US SMB SaaS market and is ready to grow in a CEO role.

Ultimately, the CEO/GM of North America will help our company grow and thrive thanks to a solid marketing/martech background and an appetite for revenue generation in the SaaS ecosystem, especially in the US market. The CEO/GM North America will be part of the Executive Committee, will work hand in hand with each C-suite and will report to the Chief Operating Officer.

The CEO/GM North America position is ideally based on the East Coast (offices in New York City or Toronto) or fully remote.

Sendinblue | Chief Executive Officer - North America

Role Responsibilities:

  • Be the ambassador of the Sendinblue brand in North America throughout the marketing/martech/SMBs leaders' communities
  • Oversee day-to-day operations namely Customer Experience, Sales, Marketing, Finance, HR, and Communication in our 3 North American offices in Toronto, Seattle and New York (currently around 60 FTEs)
  • Align the local brand development initiatives with the company’s vision. Own the go-to market strategy and drive cross-functional collaboration.
  • Set up budgets and optimize expenses, set/adjust policies and processes for North America
  • Ensure employees work productively and develop professionally
  • Oversee recruitment and training of new employees and ensure the best employee experience with a strong focus on Diversity and Inclusion and Workplace quality with the support of a dedicated HR team
  • Evaluate and improve operations and financial performance with the support of a financial manager
  • Direct the employee assessment process
  • Ensure and track the business revenue and lead generation through a strong influential role within the North American markets
  • Provide solutions to issues (e.g. profit decline, employee conflicts, loss of business to competitors)

Job requirements:

  • Successful track record of designing and executing US go-to-market strategies in the SMB SaaS market.
  • Proven experience as a solid Chief Marketing Officer and ideally General Manager or similar executive role in a North American
  • 10+ years of experience, with at least 2+ years in marketing leadership roles, including experience scaling a growing team, supporting C-level executives, managing multi-million dollar marketing budgets, and executing successful go-to-market strategies in the US
  • Ideally, experience in working with a non-American tech company developing on the US market
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a hands-on mentality when needed.
  • Passion for marketing tech solutions and ability to advocate and influence large communities of marketing leaders
  • Experience in planning and budgeting
  • Ability to lead large remote teams of employees at different levels, inspire and develop them
  • Knowledge of business processes and functions (finance, HR, procurement, operations etc.)
  • Excellent communication skills especially in a strong intercultural environment
  • Demonstrated strategic thinking skills combined with the ability to implement effective plans.
  • Persuasive, collaborative – able to work across multiple stakeholders and influence drive brand-right implementation.
  • Great at building and maintaining relationships, and fostering an environment of mutual respect, understanding, and trust.
  • Organized, knowing how to apply a structured approach, but also flexible and adaptable to individual situations.
  • Proactive and energetic, with an ability to motivate a team.
  • A passion for consumers and a deep understanding of tomorrow’s groundbreaking technologies and innovation trends.
  • Highly creative, with storytelling instincts.
  • Experience working for Mailchimp, Hubspot, Klaviyo or ActiveCampaign is an asset.
  • Willingness to travel (especially the North American offices but also in-person events across the USA)
  • Experience in brand building, communication and PR building scalable mid-market Sales teams (inbound and outbound)
