This opportunity will allow you to help shape the growing $30B global floral market. Additionally, you’ll pioneer product expansion in our new luxury home goods category and beyond.

Venus et Fleur is a bespoke rose atelier that combines the romantic tradition of sending flowers with exceptionally stylish design. We specialize in lush, customizable precision arrangements of real flowers that maintain freshness for over a year. All of our arrangements are uniquely handmade by our in-house designers. The result is an elegant and thoroughly modern presentation that speaks to a highly discerning design aesthetic.

We are looking for a results-oriented VP of Product Development who will own the end-to-end product innovation lifecycle and operations, while staying true to our commitment to the quality craftsmanship that romance deserves. You’ll define the next era of Venus et Fleur by developing a product innovation roadmap, testing and launching strategy for our florals, and our new luxury line of home goods. Moreover, you’ll explore uncharted waters, owning the development of our first-ever white label product lines for B2B partners. This role will also be responsible for growing our business by helping to determine which new product lines we should focus on, and which existing products need to be improved and evolved. With customizable arrangements, we have over 2 million unique product possibilities, leaving much room for creativity and the need for strategic focus.

Role Responsibilities:

  • You will own all product development and innovation with the monthly launch of luxurious goods from conception to market launch.
  • You will manage operations, sourcing, and ensure flawless execution across all product lines.
  • You will lead and grow the product development team, ensuring the maintenance of quality amidst innovation.
  • You will balance stakeholder needs with business priorities to drive deliberate trade-offs over the product lifecycle.
  • You will research industry trends, utilize consumer-data, and leverage internal feedback to develop and successfully execute long-term product strategies.
  • You will manage effective cross-functional collaboration with product design and marketing teams in support of a successful product adoption experience.

Job requirements:

  • 10+ years of relevant product development management experience in consumer goods or a related industry; Interest and experience in the luxury goods space preferred
  • Comfort with taking risks working in a culture of high autonomy
  • An eye for style and a mind for norm-challenging creativity
  • Expert analytical and problem-solving skills when determining how to best solve market challenges
  • Superior communication skills, including the ability to crystallize and broadly socialize insights to key stakeholders
  • Leadership style that is engaging and supportive of a diversity of thought, experiences, and approaches to creativity
  • Occasional travel required
