This is a green field opportunity for a hands-on, user-centric leader with product management leadership experience in a B2B, product-led growth SaaS targeting tech audiences. Gitbook has 20M unique users and is adding ~30k new signups per month. Organically, with no marketing. They are defining a category with relentless focus on improving collaboration for technical teams.

Role Responsibilities:

As a Head of Product you’ll own the product vision, strategy and execution. You’ll be responsible for the overall success of the product in the market, pivotal to building and leading the product team, and driving exponential growth.

Working with design and engineering to deliver a user-centric product that’s sticky and drives online collaboration for tech audiences, you’ll thrive in a Product-led environment that values excellent design

  • Refine our product vision and create our product strategy, built on a well-defined view of the market and understanding of our ICP
  • Establish best Product practices through user research, solid design decisions and efficient processes
  • Provide impactful insights to the rest of the team and help define the path forward for GitBook
  • Build and lead a team of strong product designers and researchers who deliver results consistently
  • Collaborate with Engineering to create and execute on our Product roadmap
  • Drive a shared vision of our Product and enable other teams with timely Product related information
  • Consistently improve product quality and delivery speed
  • Make critical recommendations to the business based on insights from your understanding of the company, product, market and our users

Job requirements:

  • 10+ years of B2B SaaS Product experience at a fast-growth tech company
  • Your experience building, scaling and leading fully-remote Product teams
  • Track record leading product initiatives focused on a B2B tech audience, in a PLG scale up
  • Your user-centricity and passion for building products that users love
  • Technical background or strong understanding of the needs of tech users. Plus if you’re a GitBook user
  • Your deep understanding of the dynamic between product, marketing, sales and customer success and the levers to pull to achieve goals
  • Getting things done and taking smart risks
  • Being effective at defining what to focus on first, showing progress and iterating along the way
  • Driving results, demonstrate full ownership and keep yourself and your team accountable.
  • You believe there’s always a way and will do everything to find it
  • Having clear, effective verbal and written communication skills that lead to fast decision making
  • Your collaboration skills with internal and external partners across multiple time zones
  • Being data-driven and comfortable deriving insights from data to make decisions
