Sesame Solar is looking for a leader to join as Chief Revenue Officer. Meet sesame solar:

Sesame Solar is producing what it deems the world’s first fully-renewable mobile nanogrid for natural disaster relief. While almost all standard responses to disasters use fossil fuel, Sesame Solar leverages solar energy and green hydrogen creating a 100% off-grid closed-loop energy system. Its units can be used as mobile communications and command centres, medical units, kitchens and even temporary housing. 

TRACTION

  • More than 50 nanogrid units have been sold so far
  • The systems range anywhere from $100,000 to $300,000, or more for larger installations
  • Our customers already include the U.S. Air Force, as well as cable providers such as Cox and Comcast
  • Revenue has tripled in the last year and are set to do that again this year
  • Operated profitably since 2021, and continues to do so.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with co-founders Lauren Flanagan and Namit Jhanwar to lead and manage complex Strategic Partnerships. Examples thus far include the Air Force, Cox, Comcast, local cities.
  • Team with Rapid Deployment and Disaster Preparedness agencies
  • Manage their direct sales to government departments and leading telecommunications companies, amongst others
  • Further building out a Sales and Partnerships-driven GTM team 
  • Being very hands-on. As Sesame Solar is still early in their lifestage, this will not be a role just focused on delegating and managing. Travel will be involved, and this hire will directly lead relationships with partners and prospects.

Job requirements:

  • A strong track record of marshalling complex strategic partnerships. Examples include Government Agencies, Local Municipals, Industry Associations, Fortune 500 corporations, Education officials, Contractor Agencies, Channel Resellers, and more.
  • Excitement and Interest within the Renewables and clean energy industry 
  • Executive-level Sales, Partnerships, and Business Development background
  • Building and leading a direct B2B Sales/Partnerships teams with a multicultural approach
  • Understand complex financing for Mobile Renewable Power as a Service.
  • Solid experience with local, state and federal government business development
  • Creativity and vision while scaling a business
  • Comfortable working in a hands-on, fast-paced, evolving startup environment
