Venus et Fleur is a bespoke rose atelier that combines the romantic tradition of sending flowers with exceptionally stylish design. We specialize in lush, customizable precision arrangements of real flowers that maintain freshness for over a year. All of our arrangements are uniquely handmade by our in-house designers. The result is an elegant and thoroughly modern presentation that speaks to a highly discerning design aesthetic. 

We are looking for a Chief Financial Officer who will develop and execute financial strategies, manage budget and forecasting, and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting to increase efficiency and effectiveness of business operations.

Role Responsibilities:

  • You will develop and execute our financial strategy, establish priorities for planning processes, and create various financial modeling scenarios to meet topline business needs and both short and long term financial objectives
  • You will create, drive, and manage company-wide forecasting and budgeting processes, comparing sales and profit projections to actual figures and budgeted expenses to actual expenses; make or oversees any necessary adjustments to future projections and budgets
  • You will lead the FP&A and accounting teams to drive cohesive strategies across all business units (ecommerce, retail, B2B)
  • You will own the preparation of all financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, shareholder reports, tax returns, and governmental agency reports
  • Own debt/equity raising and relationships with banks

Job requirements:

  • Prior leadership experience and deep expertise in financial management and a track record of success in a high-growth environment
  • Experience in a multi-channel retail environment preferred (ecommerce, retail & wholesale)
  • Experience with international expansion preferred
  • Expert organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills when determining how to best achieve financial goals and how variables financially impact the business
  • Leadership style that is engaging and supportive of a diversity of thought, experiences, and approaches to creativity
  • The ability to communicate financial information clearly to stakeholders and other audiences
